Mortgage Brokers are making first home-buyer confidence their first priority as mortgage stress is predicted to rise in the coming months.
Broker News reported the number of households experiencing mortgage stress fell 5.5% in February, with 587,000 households undergoing these issues, compared with 900,000 in August last year.
However, pundits have predicted mortgage stress will rise later in the year, due to continuing unemployment issues and economic uncertainty, with first home-buyers thought to be particularly vulnerable.
Consequently, organisations are becoming increasingly focused on providing simple, convenient and responsible products and services to their customers, with the intention of establish long-term relationships with their clients through these difficult times.
In their latest recruitment drive, Leading Australian broker, Mortgage Choice, has reminded applicants that their business is built on an ethical consumer proposition and that successful candidates must possess the ability to find the most resourceful solutions for Mortgage Choice's clients.
To ensure that each service is suited to the individual client, from long-term investors to first-home buyers, Mortgage Choice has developed a comprehensive training program - one of the few recognised by the MFAA, incorporating the Certificate IV in Financial Services, Diploma of Financial Planning and Diploma of Mortgage Lending.
The focus on corporate responsibility has also led other major financial institutions to emphasise the need for professional performance and ethical conduct when searching for new recruits.
Additionally, ANZ has prioritised building financial literacy and money management skills in the community, with a particular focus on society’s most disadvantaged people.
As economic uncertainty continues, these blends of strong business momentum and corporate responsibility towards all clients will be vital for recruitment at all levels of banking and finance organisations.
