Brisbane-based Employment Office expands its presence in the northern hemisphere by announcing the opening of its Canadian headquarters in Vancouver today.

Canada is the fifth country to host the recruitment marketing specialist, which has already been established in the UK, New Zealand and South Africa.

Managing director Tudor Marsden-Huggins said the new location will help Canadian business keep their recruitment expenses down by offering a cost-effective alternative to traditional agencies.

“Employment Office works with employers to create recruitment campaigns that hone in on the best candidates for a fraction of the cost usually associated with finding and hiring new staff,” he said.

“Employers pay one low fee per campaign, not per hired candidate, so they can offer a job to as many applicants as they like without enduring extra fees. It’s a significant step away from expensive recruitment models that have previously dominated the marketplace and driven budgets skywards”.

Employment Office has gained an enviable reputation for infusing the latest technology and market trends into their recruitment strategies.

Niche online jobs boards, social media sites and industry portals blend with traditional media advertising to give employers access to untapped talent pools.

The company’s innovative approach to recruitment caught the attention of travel giant Flight Centre, which bought 50 per cent of Employment Office last year, and has since used its services for all its recruitment needs worldwide.

Mr Marsden-Huggins said the company will continue to venture into new international markets as fresh opportunities arise, further consolidating Employment Office’s position as a global player.

“We’re completely transforming the way businesses approach recruitment; they’re now managing their candidates online through one central system, exploring new media to attract job seekers and, most importantly, keeping their costs down.

“We’re confident that our way of doing things will continue to catch-on as employers realise there is a cheaper, quicker and simply a better way to find the right person for the job”.

Employment Office already has a striking retention rate, with 89 per cent of clients choosing to use its services when a new job vacancy arose.

The company’s Australian client base currently includes Alex Fraser, Leigh Mardon, Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology, The Gainsdale Group and Comdain among other industry leaders.
