ASSESSMENT CENTRES
Have you seen a recruiting decision that hasn’t worked out, and wished there was a way to observe your candidates perform in a similar environment before you made your hire?
Employment Office gives you this opportunity with our individualised Assessment Centres. Our Assessment Centres provide an objective forum for comparing shortlisted candidates and their performance in a situational environment. EO customises each program to align it with the specific requirements of your position. We take care of every detail, from screening and inviting applicants, to ordering refreshments.
Your candidates participate in a selection of assessed rotations, designed to provide standardised and objective evaluation. The Assessment Centre focuses on objective, observable, job-related behaviours, eliminating all the subjective biases that can sometimes appear in the selection process, and allowing us to see people perform in a variety of team-based and individual scenarios.
Assessment Centres allow you to determine if a candidate is willing and able to do the role you are considering them for. Not only can you identify a match in skills and experience for the role, but you are also able to identify fit with your organisation’s culture.
What does an Assessment Centre include?
- A thorough job analysis of your role;
- A competency analysis and criteria composition;
- A customised selection of exercises and assessments that will offer all candidates the opportunity to demonstrate the required observable behaviours;
- Training for anyone you choose to attend, to ensure you have the capability to recognise and record objective behavioural evidence;
- Assessment Centre Facilitators to ensure a seamless activity flow and high level candidate experience;
- Adjustment and maintenance of your Assessment Centre to reflect your organisation’s strategic and environmental changes.
How will an Assessment Centre help your recruitment decisions?
- Reassurance that successful candidates have been assessed and meet high levels of your required competencies for the role;
- Strong validation for your recruitment decision, following multiple independent evaluations;
- An increased candidate pool with a focus on key competencies and transferable skill rather than just previous experience;
- Candidates gain a thorough understanding of the role and the company expectations, and are given the opportunity to interact with potential peers;
- Large numbers of candidates can be assessed in one group;
- Reduced staff turnover as your candidates have been assessed as a ‘match’ for both the role and your organisation;
- Observations and ratings are well documented, giving protection against unfair or discriminatory practices;
- Feedback to candidates is prompt, fair and factual.
